Finding new ways to exist: TKESHI Edition Lisboa 2026
From October 5–10, TKESHI brings its program of new media art, audiovisual performances, and diverse music to Lisbon. Established in 2020 in the Kojori pine forest near Tbilisi, the platform was built to connect sound, technology, and natural landscapes.
Due to the worsening political crisis in Georgia and local authorities refusing access to our traditional forest venue, TKESHI is finding new ways to exist. Expanding to Lisbon creates a vital axis across Europe’s borderlands—a shared space between Tbilisi and Lisbon dedicated to protecting freedom of expression, solidarity, and democratic values through sound and collaborative art.
PROGRAMME:
5–9 OCT — Workshops & Labs at RnA Studio & Zabra / two spaces at the forefront of art and media
Five days of hands-on workshops, co-commissions, and educational initiatives focused on sound, ecology, technology, and inclusion.
10 OCT — Final Showcase at Those Who Dance / an iconic multidisciplinary warehouse for art and dance music
The week builds into an introductory night of audiovisual performances & sonic exploration featuring artists from Georgia, Portugal and beyond.
Ahead of our full festival showcase, this gathering serves as an open space for international exchange, mutual support, and shared creation.
